The MB6 B is the Scansonic flagship speaker. Tall, slim and elegantly curved it follows the core of traditions in Danish loudspeaker design. The design is centered around the ultra light moving mass sealed ribbon tweeter, that has unique speed, resolution and dynamic transient capability. This makes for a very transparent and highly detailed reproduction of the finest details in the program material.
The MB6 B boasts a powerful lineup of 6 x 5,25” carbon coned dynamic drivers, arranged in a power sharing line array.
The inner pair of the driver covers the midrange up to where the tweeter takes over and as you move out from the center the driver cowers more and more of the lower registries.
In the deepest bass the line array boast a total membrane area larger than a 12” driver, but still with the speed and agility of the smaller drivers. This makes the MB6 B have outstanding capabilities even in the deepest bass.
The MB6 B is an incredible music performer with an impact an authority the will leave you breathless.
Fabric grillfronts can be supplied as an additional accessory.

Outstanding design paired with equally outstanding sonic refinement – that is the Scansonic MB6 B. Loudspeakers that set an aesthetic highlight are rare. Loudspeakers that set a sonic highlight are also not an everyday occurrence. That both qualities are embodied in one model is therefore an absolute stroke of luck. For the best possible listening experience, you need a sonically capable – though not necessarily high-powered – amplifier. The Scansonic team deserves respect, because successfully uniting art and acoustics in such a magnificent way in a loudspeaker is an extremely rare achievement.

Its floaty, delicate, open sound was an absolute delight to hear. Midband was fast, smooth and precise, and well-integrated with the other drive units.
The result is a gutsy, expansive yet unforced sound. This is further aided by a very quiet cabinet that doesn’t add its own colour to the proceedings; it allows more music to emanate from every song and album. Some speakers are accurate and revealing but can be audibly tiring. On the contrary, the MB6 B was immersive and inclusive, bringing the listener into the music. Fed with a reasonably powerful amplifier and given a medium to large-sized room, it delivers an effortlessly musical experience. This is an essential addition to the audition list for anyone looking to buy a serious pair of floorstanders at or near this price.”
