Scansonic does not reach randomly into the Lego box. Every component of the M30.2 is intelligently chosen—naturally in line with its affordable price. But the Danes’ true skill lies in their company know-how and two distinctive traits. Passive radiators on the rear are almost a unique hallmark. Added to this is the elegant, finely resolved ribbon tweeter for the highs. Together, these elements create a sense of playfulness, musicality, and a rarely encountered coherence in the soundstage.
Pros: Natural, highly cohesive imaging. Excellent bass control. Works well with many amplifiers.
